Aryabhatta Hall
The Institute has a state-of-art centrally air-conditioned, sound proof, fully equipped well designed seminar hall with the seating capacity of 50 + 30 people at a time , furnished with the latest and complete audio-visual equipment along with fully wired and wireless Internet connectivity. The hall is utilized for conducting conferences, Science and training Workshops, Review Meetings and other key events from time to time.
It has a separate Air conditioned reception room with extra seating arrangements and Internet Connectivity.
Varahamihir Hall
The institute has a well furnished air conditioned Lecture Hall which has all audio visual requirements including LCD and overhead projector, lectern, stage, and screen with a seating capacity of 130 members, this hall is utilized for external presentations; PHD reviews proposals, synopsis, seminars, guest lectures, networking events etc... It has also got a separate reception and exhibition room.
Pisharoty Hall
This hall is situated at the first floor of the Main building. This is an appropriate place to organize a meeting with 15-20 people. This Hall is fully air-conditioned and has a provision of round-table discussion and with overhead projector, screen and other visual equipments.
Meghdoot Complex
IITM is well equipped with facilities to handle international conferences having parallel sessions. The institute has one state-of-the-art auditorium ''Meghdoot'' (named after the monsoon poetry masterpiece by the renowned ancient Indian poet Kalidas) that can comfortably accommodate around 500 participants for inaugural session, plenary talks, keynote address, valedictory and panel discussion etc. Meghdoot auditorium houses two more halls with flat floor where parallel sessions of about 60 participants each can be accommodated.

Guest House
IITM Guest House was constructed in the year 1984. The guest house is located in the south-west corner of the Institute premises. It has a very green surrounding and pleasant ambience. IITM guest is recently renovated and the renovated guest house is inaugurated in the hands of Prof. B. N. Goswami, Director on 16 June 2008. The guest has 8 double A.C. rooms (4 each in ground and first floor) with full modern amenities. There is one Delux suite in the first floor and one luxurious VIP suite. There is one single Non A.C. room in the first floor. In the ground floor there is a huge dining area and elegantly arranged with state-of-the art furnitures. Many new things are added in the present state of the guest house. An elegant LCD TV in the dining area attracts everybody’s attention. The whole dining area is converted into WiFi zone. The VIP suite also has the WiFi facility. All the rooms are given telephone and internet connectivity. This facility is working in tune with the IITM and adding much to the comfort of the visiting scientists of the Institute.
PRITHVI - The Hall of Residence
State-of-the-art “PRITHVI - The Hall of Residence” an accommodation facility of the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India, for students was inaugurated at the hands Dr. M. Rajeevan, Hon'ble Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES). MoES has constructed the facility with a vision to cater and support students, trainees, researchers and scientists from various parts of India and abroad, who will be enrolled with/visiting Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) and India Meteorology Department (IMD) for research activities.
PRITHVI is a 10-story building comprising of 215 single occupancy rooms for students and researchers and 12 guest rooms and is well-equipped with essential facilities such as Canteen, Wi-fi, Gymnasium, Outdoor Play area, Doctor's Chamber, Warden Residence etc. This students Hostel is situated in the IMD Colony, Pashan, Pune. Foundation stone for the construction of this premium facility was laid on 28th February 2014.
